About Glenn
Glenn J. Smith, a partner at Marc Roberts Law, has built his career upon positive impact, integrity, and service to his clients and community. He continues to distinguish himself as a seasoned trial attorney through his tenacious and successful advocacy both inside and outside the courtroom in a variety of civil, commercial and consumer related matters across Pennsylvania and Maryland. Glenn also has a solid reputation for assisting start-up and existing entrepreneurs create and grow their businesses throughout the county. He has an eye toward creative thinking that helps his clients meet their goals and dreams. His honest and straightforward approach sets him apart.
Most recently serving as the chief legal advisor and general counsel for York County, Glenn has a diverse career in Pennsylvania and Maryland. He has also served as an Assistant District Attorney, Special Assistant United States Attorney, Solicitor for a number of municipalities, authorities, and local officials, as well as the Solicitor for the Pennsylvania State Mayor's Association, representing mayors across the state.
Prior to serving his County, Glenn played a significant role in the revitalization of York City, volunteering, representing, and fostering the creation and growth of small businesses. As a result of his dedication, Glenn was the primary force behind his firm being recognized by Downtown, Inc. as the Downtown First Awards Large Business of the Year in 2014. In 2015, Glenn was recognized individually for his continued efforts as the Downtown First Awards Individual of the Year as well as being named a Select Lawyer by Susquehanna Style based on peer evaluations.
Glenn also positively contributes to his community through the York County Bar Association, where his peers elected him to serve as a Director and Officer of the organization. With a passion for economic development and tourism, Glenn is a Director and member of Explore York! (formally the York County Convention and Visitor's Bureau) and a former Director and Executive Committee member for the York County Economic Alliance. Glenn has also been selected to serve as a Director for the Rotary Club of York, the 22nd largest club in the world, and was nominated for Appointed Official of the Year in 2018.
At home, Glenn is an active member of the Roses Rugby Football Club, as well as the Wild Rovers and Cardinals Old Boys Sides. He and his "better half" enjoy raising a son and daughter, in addition to traveling and simply living life to its fullest potential.
